Oral Examination
With an oral examination and x-rays of the mouth, our dentists can assess the position of the wisdom teeth and predict if there may be current or future issues. Studies show that early assessment and treatment create a superior result for the individual.
All outpatient surgery is done under appropriate anesthesia to maximize patient comfort. Our dentists have extensive training, license, and expertise to provide several kinds of anesthesia for patients to choose the best option.

Wisdom teeth surgery
The teeth in the very front of the mouth (incisors, canine and bicuspid teeth) are well suited for grasping and biting food into smaller bits.
Molar teeth or the back teeth are accustomed to grind food up into a consistency suitable for swallowing.
The typical mouth is designed to hold only 28 teeth. It may be painful when 32 teeth try to fit. These four other teeth are your Third Molars, also called “wisdom teeth.”
When they align correctly, and gum tissue is healthy, wisdom teeth don’t have to be eliminated. Sadly, this doesn’t usually occur. Impacted teeth can take many places in the bone as they try to discover a pathway, which will enable them to erupt successfully.
These poorly positioned impacted teeth can cause many inconveniences. When they partially erupt, the opening around the tooth allows bacteria to grow and will eventually cause illness. The result: swelling, pain, stiffness, and sickness. Early removal is a good idea to reduce the surgical risk involved with the process and to prevent such future problems.
Bone Grafts
A bone graft is a dental surgery technique, similar to sinus lift or bone augmentation, but it is not the same. This treatment is needed if there is a lack of bone in your jaw, which means it can’t be extended with artificial bone. Instead, a piece of bone is taken from your mandible and grafted into your mouth. As a result of the bone graft, dental implants can be placed appropriately.
Dental Removal
Typically, the removal of wisdom teeth is done under local anesthesia, laughing gas (nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia), or general anesthesia. These choices, in addition to the surgical hazards (i.e. sensory nerve damager, sinus complications) will be discussed with you before the process is performed.
Bite back on the gauze put in your mouth to help control bleeding. Until you are prepared to start the procedure, you may rest under our oversight at work. Upon discharge, your postoperative kit includes postoperative instructions, a prescription for antibiotics, pain medication as well as a follow-up appointment in a single week for suture removal.
Jaw Operation Surgery
Individuals who can benefit from orthognathic surgery include those with an improper bite or jaws placed wrong.
Jaw growth is a slow process, and sometimes the upper and lower jaws may grow at different speeds. The result may be a host of difficulties that could impact chewing function, speech, long term oral health, and look.
Harm to the jaw and birth defects may also affect jaw alignment. When just the teeth are involved, orthodontics can correct bite problems, but when re-positioning is needed, orthognathic surgery could be the best treatment.
During your consult, don hesitates to ask any questions you may have regarding your treatment.
